AORSR2000A & SR20cntrl

 Last software version (SR20cntrl_v07c.zip) corrects some problems related to firmware differences (it will also display the firmware version of the receiver).

 Version 0.7 includes memory channels and banks management. Now, it is possible to tune, copy, select, paste, modify, save, sort, etc, memory channels and banks while using concurrently other application functions.

Version 0.6 improved some application refresh rates and also let user save into a jpg file a copy of the fft spectrum window.

Version 0.5 added volume & squelch controls as a more complete configuration of RS232 communications panel (for enabling AOR-SR2000 users to better configure their setting).

Close to the new "spectrum receiver" AOR-SR2000A, it is displayed a netPC (Atom processor based Medion Akoya) excuting the SR20cntrl software. Yo can see, among others, the FFT spectrum window; it is possible to immediantly tune the vfo frequency to the one ticked with the mouse inside the spectrum window. In the spectrum window you can see the video (left), color (center) and audio (right) signals for the 25 PAL tv channel.

The SR20cntrl software allows to control a subset of the AOR-SR2000A receiver functions from, by now, a Windows based PC. 

Its main characteristics are:

  • Works under MS-Windows, I am trying to install it in McOSX and Ubuntu linux also,

  • At this moment only a subset of the AOR-SR2000A receiver functions are supported, but its funcionalities will be extended in the near future. You can expect now to manage memory banks, remotely control the receiver vfos, look (and set frequency) with the FFT spectrum graph dynamic window, and configure some of the receiver and application parameters. In the future you will be able to configure FFT searchs and controlling the receiver via internet.

  • The language is configurable; moreover, the user can easily prepare the software for working in other language translating an unique file.

  • The software has been programmed in Java and It is based in the free Communications library RXTX,

  • The software is free and will remain free.

DOWNLOADING:

The SR20cntrl control software is distributed as a set of files and directories packed in an unique zip file (SR20cntrl_vxx.zip). This zipped file includes a basic help file with installation instructions.
